New EU Hand Luggage Law: What It Actually Means For Ryanair Flyers

So Brussels has gone and changed the hand luggage rules again. On 15th June, MEPs agreed new EU rules giving every passenger the right to one free personal item on board. Sounds great in theory.

Ryanair's response? Not happy. They came out the next day calling it "gobbledygook regulation" and basically said this could mean higher fares for everyone down the line. Classic.

Here's the thing though — none of that changes anything for your next flight. Right now, today, Ryanair still only lets you bring one free bag, and it's gotta be 40 x 30 x 20cm, under the seat in front of you. Go over that and you're paying up to £70 at the gate. Doesn't matter what's happening in Brussels, that's still the rule until something officially changes.

This is exactly why we built the Vackpack. It's sized to fit that free Ryanair allowance properly, so you're not stood at the gate hoping the staff don't measure it too strictly.

The bit people love most though is the vacuum compression compartment. You pack your stuff in, zip it shut, grab the pump (comes included) and squeeze the air out - gets you up to 50% more space without the bag actually getting any bigger. Still totally within the size limit, just way more efficient. Throw in the front pockets for your passport and phone, side pockets for a water bottle, and it's made from proper weatherproof material so it'll actually last.

Rules might keep changing. Your bag shouldn't have to.
